"Just begin. Pick something to learn. [It's] an invitation to imperfection." I appreciate this reminder, Lottie! The sentiment to begin where we are in the learning process - today - and let the imperfections be there as we learn and grow as a person and in our creative expression. It's freeing! Rejoicing with you in your new garden, your new creativity, and your beautiful paintings.
This is so lovely Lottie! I’ve been gradually learning to garden over the last couple of years, and the satisfaction of every tiny win is so special, and always leads back to my art practice too. I love your pattern designs and the “In the company of flowers” collection of paintings too 😍🎨
Thanks so much Emma! I so relate to the satisfaction of the tiny win and it leading back to art. It’s that cycle of observation and interpretation of patterns a leaf shapes and color combinations.
so kind of you!

Thanks for your thoughtful reply, Lisa! It’s a daily reminder to myself as well.
What stood out to me here was that you not only tried something completely new and failed at first but that you kept going and succeeded.
What I love especially is that the prints are so obviously inspired by your new gardening hobby! They are so beautiful!

Yes exactly! Gardening is a slow process and I find it really helpful to take that time to soak up all the inspiration 🌿
